Huge amount of learning of life can be taken from the chariot used by Arjuna, specially the flag having image of Hanuman on it. Let’s understand how we can understand each part of the chariot for life coaching.
Important elements in chariot and connection with our life
Horses used in chariot.
There is a duality regarding the quantity of horses that were used in the chariot among many. We will not discuss on this and will consider that there were 4 horses used in chariot.
In our lives, these 4 horses signifies Emotions, Thoughts, Actions and Habits. For controlling, Each horse is tied with 3 robes.
The 3 robes.
The 3 robes signifies the three modes of nature i.e. Mode of Goodness, Mode of Passion and Mode of Ignorance.
It is very essential to understand that whatever act we do in our life comes under one of these 3 modes of nature. I simple words Goodness means selflessness, Passion is anything done with false pride or ego and Ignorance means keeping negative intent or emotion.
Normally a person keeps on shifting between these modes in every act but everyone should practice working under mode of goodness only because this is the highest order of performing any act.
Wheels of the chariot
Just like the chariot or the vehicles that we use have 4 wheels normally. Our life also has 4 wheels, viz. Personal Life, Family, Professional Life and Social life. Personal life can also be linked with personal development and intellect.
The life is smooth when all these wheels are balanced. Whenever there is problem in any of the wheel, the vehicle called life gets disturbed and then we use spare wheel.
Ironically, the spirituality is considered as a spare wheel when it comes to balancing the wheels of life. We offer prayers at Churches, Temples, Mosques etc. and ask for the strength and blessings.
If we use spirituality as a steering wheel instead of the spare wheel of the vehicle called life then all other aspects or wheels will always be balanced. Just need to add spirituality like we add salt to our food for taste.
Significance of Flag having Hanuman on the chariot
As per Arjuna’s chariot is concerned, Hanuman blessed him and agreed to be with him during the battle of Mahabharata.
Now what significance we can derive from having Hanuman on our chariot called life?
From the scriptures, there are substantial evidences that the nature of Hanuman was of a seeker i.e. understanding every aspect of life in detail and depth. Hanuman had extreme urge to understand and enquire about the purpose of life.
Similarly, in our life we all must have a burning desire to acquire knowledge and wisdom. To reach enlightenment and to know the purpose of life.
Just start enquiring to understand the purpose of life and you will see the Hanuman inside you will start awakening.
What Arjuna did?
Instead of carrying the robes of the horses of the chariot by himself, Arjuna handed over the robes to Lord Krishna. This means complete surrender towards the lord.
In our life also, we should not act as a does but a witness and surrender the robes of our uncontrolled horses (Emotions, thoughts, actions and habits) to the Universe/Nature/God.
